Kangaroo Island Providore

Excellent coffee! Placed just inside the main airport building there is a wide range of coffee and other hot beverages. Whilst we didn’t partake there was also a great array of muffins and the like which looked very delicious. There is a good selection of cold drinks, including beer, cider and wine. Our server was exceptionally friendly and helpful (she’s in the photo!).

Quite possibly the best coffee I’ve had in all of Australia — and trust me, I’ve done the research with the dedication of a caffeinated PhD student. The lovely lady running the place could charm a grumpy koala, and the whole experience feels like stumbling upon a tiny caffeinated oasis in the middle of Kangaroo Island Airport. If all airports served coffee like this, I’d start turning up three hours early on purpose.

A lovely surprise at Kingscote Airport! We didn’t expect much from a small airport café, but we were so pleasantly surprised! Delicious homemade muffins and croissants, baked with love by the lovely owner herself. And the coffee? Even approved by Italians — which says it all!! Highly recommended!

Your first taste of what Kangaroos Island has to offer as soon as you fly in is Virginia from Kangaroo Island Providore ! They offer a great selection of Kangaroo Islands local products and produce to purchase or to enjoy at the Cafe. Be sure to enjoy a signature spelt blueberry muffin (my personal favourite) along side a coffee before you depart the airport (alcoholic beverages available if that is your preference). Kangaroo Island Providore offers a selection of both savoury and sweet treats, pies,quiches,tarts,muffins etc which do vary depending on what has been sourced locally and is in season. (the best part if you ask me! ) Plenty of seating both indoor and outdoor. Be sure to allow time at the airport before you leave or drop in on your travels for a delicious tasty treat to start or end your Kangaroo Island Holiday and be warmly greeted and welcomed by Virginia.

What a lovely experience whilst waiting at Kangaroo Island Airport, such friendly service from Virginia, just had to try the blueberry spelt muffin, and it didn't disappoint. Coffee was really nice too

Highly recommend visiting for the lamb pie and delicious coffee, even if you’re not flying from the airport! Virginia was very friendly and left a lovely impression of Kangaroo Island, and the hospitality of the island’s community.

Amazing cafe with the most friendly staff. The coffee was great and the blueberry muffin was to die for. Even got some free garlic flowers to cook with from Kangaroo Island Garlic. This was the perfect pit stop on my ride around the Island. Can't recommend highly enough!

Probably the best coffee we’ve had in Australia and truly amazing that it’s in an airport! Virginia was so kind and her vision was amazing- if only every airport served coffee like this. 100% worth the stop even if you’re not flying out of Kingscote!!
